About Alicante Airport
Alicante Airport opened in 1967 and quickly started receiving international flights from other airports such as Valencia. When it was receiving a million passengers in just three years, another terminal was built, and then a few years later when the number rose to 2 million, the terminal was expanded further. In 2011, a brand new terminal was built that was to replace all other terminals and at 10 million passengers a year demand is still growing today.
The new terminal, referred to as Terminal N, is more than five times the size of the two previous terminals and there is a wide range of things to do to pass the time, including restaurants, shopping opportunities and executive lounges.
