It can happen that local rental companies try to sell additional insurance or other products. However, depending on the offer that you booked, you are not required to accept these, unless stated otherwise in your rental conditions.
If you block the required deposit on a valid credit card of the main driver, you will not be required to take out additional insurance with the rental company. Please note that from the rental company's perspective, you retain an excess. In case of damage or theft, you will first have to pay these costs to the supplier up to the amount of the excess. If you have taken out our "Excess Cover" insurance, you can make a claim via us at the end of the rental period so that these costs can be reimbursed in accordance with the insurance conditions.
Should any problems or uncertainties arise during pick up, please call us in case of doubt before signing the rental contract. We are also happy to help you during the pick-up of the rental car. Unfortunately, once the rental contract is signed, it is not possible to undo a potentially unwanted service.
