This depends on what type of insurance you have booked. If you have booked an offer with "Zero Excess", then you are covered through the local rental company and you should not get charged for a damage in the first place, provided that the damage falls within the coverage of the insurance policy and you have not broken the terms stated in the rental agreement.
When you have booked "Excess Cover" through us, the rental company will first charge any related damage costs to you (up to the amount of the excess) after which you can open a claim through us to get these costs reimbursed in accordance with the insurance conditions.
